1. Diagnosis and assessment charges
Diagnosis is time and equipment spent whether or not you proceed, so the published diagnosis fee is non-refundable once the assessment has been delivered.
Where diagnosis is listed as free, it stays free — you owe nothing if you decline to continue.
If we cannot produce an assessment because the device was misrepresented (wrong model, undisclosed prior repair, missing power supply), the visit/diagnosis charge still applies.
2. Cancelling a job
Before work starts (status "Received", "Under Diagnosis" or "Waiting for Approval"): you may cancel and pay only the applicable diagnosis charge plus any parts already purchased for you, at documented cost.
After work starts: charges apply for the labour genuinely performed and parts already procured. We will tell you the position before we stop so the number is not a surprise.
Parts we have bought to your approval are yours — we hand them over with or without fitting as you instruct.
Cancellation of the "Recovery Attempt" stage after imaging has started is billed as quoted for that stage, since imaging is the bulk of the effort.
3. Data recovery outcomes
Refunds cannot be claimed merely because recovery produced less than you hoped. Recovery is a best-effort technical process and no result is guaranteed; that is stated in the quote, on the pricing page and in these terms.
Where a written quote names a specific recoverable set (for example: "recover and deliver all files from the Documents folder of volume D") and we fail that named scope for a reason within our control, we refund the service portion of that job, excluding parts and third-party costs already incurred.
Where "no data – no charge" was agreed in writing for your category of failure, the applicable portion is refunded/not charged exactly as written.
Any partial recovery delivered is billed proportionally as stated in the quote.
4. Repairs, replacements and warranty
If a repair we performed does not hold within our stated service warranty (default 30 days on workmanship; parts carry the manufacturer/retailer warranty, typically 6–12 months), we re-do the work at no labour charge or refund the labour charge for that fault.
If a fitted part fails, we replace or refund the part charge subject to the warranty actually passed through to you. Physical damage, liquid damage after service, power surges and misuse are excluded.
If we misdiagnosed the fault and you paid for work that was not needed, the charge for that work is refunded.
Laptop/desktop damage caused by our handling is assessed on the record (intake photographs and serial log) and, where it is our responsibility, is repaired or compensated up to the value stated on the job sheet.
5. How to request a refund
Write to raviprajapati@raviprajapati.com or WhatsApp +91 79833 82750 with your Service ID, what you paid, and what the issue is. Send screenshots where relevant.
We acknowledge within one working day of a complete request and give you a written decision with the reasoning.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method (bank transfer/UPI/card) within 7–10 working days; cash refunds are paid at the shop on presentation of the receipt and ID.
Refund of an unused AMC or support retainer is pro-rated for the unused full months, minus work already performed and any onboarding cost noted in the contract.
Disputed amounts can be escalated to the consumer forum having jurisdiction, and we will cooperate with that process.
